Dawn is an experienced litigator who excels in personal injury, employment and contract disputes, and workplace investigations. Since beginning her practice in 1997, she has built a reputation as a well-prepared, communicative, strategic advocate for her diverse clientele.
Dawn graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1993 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Political Science. She then studied law at Creighton, receiving her J.D. in 1997. Upon graduation, she began her career as a trial attorney in Colorado Springs, Colorado, focusing on personal injury, wrongful death, and employment and insurance disputes. Her practice continued to expand into contract disputes, civil litigation, and insurance defense during the following decade.
In 2012, Dawn was named Partner. Over her career she gained valuable experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. This firsthand experience representing large insurance companies and employers, as well as the plaintiffs bringing suit against them, gives her a unique understanding of effective legal strategies and arguments.
Recent clients have described Dawn this way: “very informative” … “a pleasure to work with” … “great knowledge of the law and foresight in her work” … “really car[ing] about the outcome for all of her clients.” These comments are indicative of her performance as a trial lawyer and legal consultant for the last two decades.
Dawn is currently a member of the Nebraska, Colorado, and El Paso County Bar Associations, as well as a board member of the Better Business Bureau for Southern Colorado. In addition to her position on the board, she serves on the Standards Committee. Dawn has also taught business law courses for DeVry and Keller Colleges for 11 years.
In her downtime, she enjoys golfing at any of Colorado’s beautiful courses with her husband, cooking, hiking, and returning to her home state of Nebraska to visit family.
